What is Caliban?
Caliban is 3Fourteen’s AI research assistant. You describe what you want to see in plain English (a chart, a backtest, a comparison) and it builds it using our data library and quantitative tools.
It has access to decades of market data across equities, fixed income, commodities, currencies, and economic indicators. Every chart comes out in 3Fourteen’s house style, ready for a deck or a report.
This isn’t a generic chatbot. It’s a research tool built by the same team that runs 3Fourteen’s models, and we stand behind its output. If something looks off, you can ask us directly and we’ll look at it with you.

Upload an image of a chart from a report or social media. Caliban will recreate it with current data, extend the series, or give you a different angle.
Use your own data
Upload CSVs or Excel files. Caliban will analyze them alongside our data. Chart your fund’s returns vs a benchmark, overlay your signals, whatever you need.
Iterate in conversation
Ask for a chart, then refine it. “Make it log scale.” “Add gold.” “Go back to 1990.” Each follow-up builds on the last.
My Charts
Every chart you generate in Caliban can be saved to your personal library. Organize them into folders, give them titles, and come back to them anytime.
Saved charts aren’t just screenshots. Caliban stores the underlying code, so you can re-run any chart with a single click to get updated data. Your chart from last quarter refreshes to show today’s numbers.
Each chart also keeps a run history. You can see what it looked like the last several times you ran it, track how the data has changed, and export to PDF.
You can even schedule automatic updates of your charts on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, and have those updates sent directly to your email.
